How I got Here
I’ve had a bit of an interesting career. I started out wanting to be a professor and found the job market rather uninterested in my candidacy. I wrote a book, Chasing Chickens: When Life After Higher Education Doesn’t Go the Way You Planned, about finding my way into digital strategy in marketing and public relations.
Aside from being a poet who manages a wide range of clients in B2B and B2C, I also enjoy writing flash fiction. For my dissertation, I focused on dictatorships in Spain and the Southern Cone of South America.
What I Write
As a multigenre author, I enjoy experimenting with language, particularly images and metaphor.
I’ve written poetry since elementary school and have notebooks full of half-written novels. I have been published in JuxtaProse Magazine, Crab Fat Magazine and included in several anthologies. My poetry chapbook is The Haywire Heart and Other Musings on Love.
